BOOKS ON A BOX™ is an organization that was created for the primary purpose of generating resources and awareness for charities and non profit organizations that promote literacy and education for children across the United States and around the world.

BOOKS ON A BOX™ has joined with Communities In Schools-Detroit (CIS-Detroit) to provide a new and exciting multidimensional reading experience for children and families. Offering children a free book on every box, BOOKS ON A BOX™ creates multiple impressions on every member of the family while encouraging parents and children to engage in reading.

BOOKS ON A BOX™ goes right into the home, into the hands of children and parents as well as grandparents and other members of the family. BOOKS ON A BOX™ stays in the home and can be used in any room in the house as a decorative storage device, a reading focus for the kitchen table that stands up and a useful box for every member of the family.
